Lacey Lions Girls Basketball Defeats Central On Senior Night

Lacey Lions got a big victory over Central yesterday at home on a senior night as they honored Marissa Flores, Eloise Geiger, Reece Paget, and Courtney Roeseler before the game. The Lions were looking to get back on track and get closer to 500 this season so far. Central was trying to get their first win as a team coming in at 0-6. Lacey wanted to play great on a special night for their seniors and the parents in attendance. Lions were pumped and ready to go against Central after the ceremony for Senior night.

Head coach Dawn Paget of Lacey does a great job of keeping her team focused, sticking to a game plan, playing team basketball, and trying to win games at a high level. Central had trouble stopping some of their top players which gave the lions an advantage on offense throughout this game. Central kept it close but couldn’t put together another run as Lacey kept extending their lead. One positive for Central was junior Brianna Nelson who finished with 15 points and she made some nice assists finding her open teammates.

Reece Paget and Cookie were the leading scorers for the Lacey Lions, combining for 29 points in this matchup. Lacey now improves to 2-3 this season, while Central falls to 0-7.
