Lacey Outlasts Toms River North in Tight 9-7 Battle
In a competitive Shore Conference showdown on Friday, Lacey edged out Toms River North 9-7, powered by a balanced offensive attack and strong possession play.

Lacey’s offensive unit was led by Braedyn Gialanella, Corey Smith, and Ryan Gleason, each netting two goals apiece. Smith also served as the primary facilitator, dishing out three assists and helping orchestrate the Lions’ offense. Lacey finished the game with 9 goals, 6 assists, and 28 ground balls—showcasing their hustle and execution on both ends of the field.
Toms River North kept the contest close behind a hat trick performance from Ben Misa, who led the Mariners with 3 goals. Christian Wagner helped keep the offense flowing with 3 assists. The Mariners totaled 7 goals, 4 assists, and collected 20 ground balls in the loss.
A standout performance came from North’s face-off specialist Cooper Lachowicz, who dominated at the X, winning 15 of 19 face-offs—giving Toms River North the edge in time of possession and allowing them to control the tempo for most of the game.
Lacey’s all-around effort proved just enough to fend off a late push by Toms River North, securing the win and building momentum as the season progresses.
